Sometimes it takes a long while to answer some of the most basic questions in life, until you realize that it wasn't answering that took so long, but rather coming to terms with the answer, or owning the answer that takes all the time and effort. I understand and own the answer to the most basic of all questions now. It's the question that just about every single one of us has asked at one time or another: 'why am I here?'. The answer, is much simpler than the question: 'because I chose to be here'. Every single day I make the same choice in waking from my slumber and getting out of bed, while the whole time I could just as easily have chosen not to be here anymore.
What lies behind us and lies before us are small matters compared to what lies right to our faces.

...And the Devil shall appear
I think I need to revisit an idea I had back when I started this blog, which is to build an interactive mesh (or web) styled organizational chart that brings names, locations, companies, affiliations, statements, dates, and official positions held into some form of schema akin to the 'Collusion' plug-in for firefox. I'm just not certain that I have the database or programming skills required... I'm also not certain if there is already a software that would allow this type of mapping, which would of course be much faster to build from...

transplanted talking heads
Every once in awhile I come across something that really makes my mind wander... Not to other bodies, mind you, but to the to the question as to whether this is the ticket to immortality for some future dystopia in which the Emperor of Earth lives for over a thousand years by grafting his head onto a, 18 year old clone of himself every couple of decades... I'm neither a doctor, nor scientist so I am not really certain about the semantics involved... I'll try to hope that the brain eventually gets old and dies rather than to continue to think about the horrors of being ruled by someone who's had alzheimer's for the last 600 years...
Let's move on to something a little more here and now, shall we?
If this doesn't make you think, it's possible your brain is malfunctioning.

The Ultimate Sin
It appears to be a slow news day here in the land of looney twoneys and maple syrup. Of course, it's a holiday weekend, and a Sunday morning, so maybe I simply need to wait for "stupid" to wake up and say things as will inevitably happen... I'm done parroting on about Edward Snowden and Michael Hastings, the NSA, and the police state for the moment and have zero unread items in my news feeds right now, which suggests I might actually have nothing to talk about. Except that it's been brought to my attention that I haven't mentioned certain things in a very long while. I might have eluded to them, or put up links to them, and I've even done some funky math to illustrate them, but not openly said them...
Yes, it's time to talk about the ultimate sin: usurious fractional reserve banking

the double-blind-folded taste-test of powdered shit
I think this article says a lot about the state of the free press in this 'age of information'. Truth be told, there's little truth being told at any of the upper echelons of any hierarchy, and I may not be here tomorrow to speak about it. I'll figure that out if it happens and have downloaded the requisite files in case it does happen (funny how Google reader, and Google blogger are going to vanquish 2 large information services in 2 days... And, no, not 'ha ha' funny). But while I figure that out (I could be blowing this blogger thing out of proportion, because it's a service I use) people like this will have some level of carte-blanche to continue whatever it is they get up to when they think nobody is watching, which, I might add, is never again.

...all the warmth of a chain-mail duvet cover filled with ice shards
I once read that if you cut a worm in two, it becomes two worms. While I never truly understood how that's even possible I am sometimes shown real world examples of snakes growing a new head to remind me of how it might work. Even if this example does not make two snakes, it at least shows how the side of the worm without a brain manages to grow a new one. I suppose the other half, without an anus, doesn't matter as much and it gets a short respite from having the shit scared out of it like some other spineless cowards out there.

the fear of fear itself
Whoever tells you that there is no conspiracy probably needs to watch this. Sure it's long, and for many who come here, it might not be 'new', it is not really new to me either, but it's worth a watch anyway. I haven't said much about the criminals in office in Canada lately mostly because there is nothing really new to report in this whole Duffy boondoggle, but this article puts an interesting Watergate spin on the whole thing. Not that I think that it will play out like Watergate did because there's too many batshits in the bell tower in these times. Not that the bell tower is of much relevance these days when you've got ghosts like this elsewhere. You might not know him, but he probably knows you.
Of course he's not the only one, because these things are happening in other places too. Coincidence or providence? I don't see coincidence very often anymore. In fact I expect that once something unravels in one country we'll see it unfold in an almost identical manner several other places. I doubt that these programs coming to light are finished yet as I suspect there is still a large portion of Europe still to be exposed.

the trip down memory lane via detours through unfamiliar territory
I heard a good joke last night: Quebec spends $500,000 to examine wasteful spending by feds. I am not sure if that was the joke or the punchline or where the drumroll fits, but it made me cry so hard I laughed. I know it's not nice to cackle wickedly at dumb animals, but I could never take myself seriously as a card carrying member of PETA either. I am almost sure this idea came directly from PETA because it leads me to wonder if there is going to be a mass kill of now 'illegal to sell' animals. Sounds like the logic of PETA (or dumb animals) to me.
Another thing that struck me straight out of the "what could possibly go wrong?" department is why attract a potential doomsday that we don't fully understand for 'further study'? Maybe we'll learn something, or maybe it will kill us all, but there seems to be very large potential risks associated with very small potential gains in this plan. Of course I'm not a rocket surgeon so there is a potential that I have no idea what I am talking about. I'd defer to my gut feeling, but I haven't eaten yet so my gut is somewhat upset right now.

Wonders in Aliceland
Will wonders never cease? Canadian mainstream news appears to have picked up the 'Russia does not buy Assad's chemical weapon use' story. I wonder if this means Canada will not be going along with the plan? Not that I think Canada will veto the plan because we don't tend to do that either, at least not in the summer. Nobody would challenge us by starting a ground war in the winter (except for the aforementioned Russia), so vetoing in the winter could happen. I digress. It isn't like Russia has no reason to suspect any new intelligence when that new intelligence could simply be an old plan that's been deleted. It's pretty evident that the U.S. Government routinely fabricates things until they are caught in the lie and have to backpedal, poorly. Maybe the plan is being changed because not enough people bought into it, which simply means that it will be re-introduced as being precisely the same but at a different date.
I am kidding myself... Canada will tag along with big brother like the good little brother it always is.

Domino
It appears that the next domino in the chain of consequence has begun falling. It could simply be shrugged off as the inevitable and obvious next phase. It couldn't have not happened because it had already been happening since before it actually happened. Many foresaw it as did I, but this would have been a perfect time to have been proven wrong... Wrong had little consequence: an apology, mild embarrassment. Some people simply never can admit to being wrong, but, of course, their consequence would have been greater than mine own. My losing face holds little risk for I am faceless, my losing faith holds little value for I am faithless.
When the cherry coke sponsored version of freedom looks like this nobody is free, or ever was.

Invisible enemies and their imaginary friends
This story is just out there. Qur'an-based defence too challenging even for Muslim lawyers. I am trying to understand why the court is entertaining this idea that the Muslim holy book should be used instead of our usual laws... Oh, wait, I got it... We're feeding the image of crazy muslim terrorists to the public in a way that even the CBC will propagate the fear mongering... That sucks, the CBC is the only Canadian station that looks into the G20 police state tactics in Toronto and other stories often passed over by mainstream media, which is to say that I have some trust in their reporting as opposed to the none allocated to other stations. Not that they're perfect, but they've generally been better than those not owned by the Government which may sound odd, but is seemingly true. Of course just about every Prime Minister of recent decades has cut their funding, so other than news, they don't have much else of any worth...

Colouring outside the lines
As I walk among the sleeping world around me realizing the horror of it all, the sheer evil genius at work which keeps everyone seemingly docile and disinterested and even silently complicit, it is not with a smug sense of superiority but with an aching sorrow. Things that have found the open air of scrutiny should have caused a mutiny but the actors have played their parts so well that today is a day just like all those that went before them.
The actors got all up in arms that the information somehow got out there, not that the information existed and for some reason everybody else seems to be paying along. Bait, and switch, hook line & sinker. Why do we fall for and follow this charade? The cold calculated truth that big brother is real should be a slap in the face to every person who has used the internet or made a phone call in the last decade, yet because it's for our safety and security against the terrorist of the week we should be angry at the one who exposed the truth.
Shoot the messenger. Then forget the message.

run-on sentences and other poorly labeled thoughts
I have a backlog of things, yet again. It seems that Alex Jones may have been loosing ratings. I'd toast the occasion with a scotch, but I'm flat broke, so this will have to do.

When The Turkey Broke Free
There seems to be a lot of these kinds of things going on everywhere lately. The biggest shocker (for me) in this story was in it's source. I didn't see this in my regular sources until after I'd seen it shared by a Facebook friend. Of course today it has disappeared from my Facebook news feed which indicates that either I was dreaming, or cat videos are more important... [sigh]

The individual VS. The collective

the stripper pole: a perpendicular slope
It's amazing to think that in less than a quarter of a century, one country has managed to move from the spotlight as the enemy of freedom, to one of the few left protecting freedom. Though I suppose it is less amazing when you look at how the previous tenant @ 1 defend-freedom lane, switched careers and became a prison warden who will shoot you simply for looking at him. We really are coming up with some pretty strange ideas to allegedly fix a problem while still leaving the person causing the problem in control of the solution. Maybe the aboriginal peoples are right and cameras really do steal our souls, they will certainly steal our right not get deaded 5 seconds after the camera is switched off.

I'm losing interest in interest for interests sake
♫Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today♪ --Pink Floyd
Everybody appears to know that it's a rigged game where the punishment appears to never match the crime, except maybe in China of all places. We have so many 'sayings' concerning money to help propagate it's myth, legend, and social status that it's a wonder that anybody has bothered to look beyond what it appears to be. Myths like: 'Money doesn't grow on trees' or 'Money makes the world go 'round'' or 'Another day, another dollar' or 'Rolling back prices', okay, maybe that one's an ad slogan, but it wouldn't feel right not to incorporate dead Walmart babies somewhere just for kicks.
The most common of these myths would appear to be that 'monetary supply and issuance is controlled and governed by the government'. These are the fairy-tales we tell our children as we try to impart our flawed knowledge upon them. Aside from being untrue, which I will get to in a moment, are we really supposed to trust people who put us into this much debt with the money supply? I wouldn't trust them to handle paying my phone bill. So why is it untrue? Well, think about it for a second or two.
Give up yet?

It's pretty black & white, from my perspective
I've been aware since long before I started writing that there could be consequences to speaking my mind, especially once things get down to understanding the motives behind the conspiracies. The name-calling started long before I got here, and I could see it for what it was then: a thinly-veiled attempt to change the subject and discredit anybody whose evidence could not be disputed by any 'expert'.

Boil ice cubes, or watch paint dry...
It's hard to swallow anything calling itself science, when that science makes claims that melting ice is causing more ice... I'm debating putting an ice cube on the stove and waiting until the more ice appears, maybe somebody will pay me for such valuable data, like GE or White Westinghouse, or other companies that could manufacture a refrigerator or weapon of mass destruction effectively based on the principle that I unlocked the secret to forming ice cubes in a pot of boiling water.

I think, therefore I am... depressed
I know that so much that goes on these days is for the purpose of demonstration, because someone else told me so (many times)... It doesn't really matter what anybody else thinks of that source, so long as I believed him, and it doesn't hurt to have suspected as much long before being told. So I am happy to state that it would appear that the human memory hole is getting smaller, which means that they are going to have to try and find more crisis actors if they intend to keep the smoke and mirrors game in play:
