Boxing Week Bonanza of Privacy Invasiveness

Well, I suppose I should begin by wishing everyone a joyous 'near winter solstice' festive season sprinkled with 'get out of slavery' free days, and I hope Satan's Claws were gentile on your pocket book... Or... More importantly I should say fuck that noise: Merry Christmas, which thanks to predictive typing and auto-politically-correct took 4 times each to type before I finally gave up and tapped each individual letter to obtain the desired result of "Merry Christmas" (this time copied and pasted because I know predictive means nobody would ever type the same words twice in a sentence)... Sure, Christmas may have come and gone but we all know full well that this doesn't need to end our relationships with the merchants who have now gone about marking down the prices on all that useless crap we didn't find in our stockings, because those filling our stockings were busy being told that their holding company refused to extend them the debt required to pay full price in what used to be known as boxing day, which worked so well in keeping us giving away our money that it was extended to boxing week, and finally some kind of octa-seminal period ending just in time for valentines day...

Much the same as how American Thanksgiving is followed up by the throat punching frenzy called black Friday, it really is about giving thanks to the bank for letting us spend the blood of our children in exchange for a wheelbarrow full of overpriced shit we didn't know we needed until it went on sale. I don't hate Christmas, but I do hate that it seemingly misrepresents love and joy as having some monetary value which must never be underspent lest we find ourselves disowned. Because we all know who benefits from that portrayal: the bankers, merchants, and corporations who invented the spirit of giving, and the most notorious child labour law breaker, Mr Claws of Satan himself...

Think about it, Tolkien's elves are tall and slender, Santa's are short like 5-year-old children. There has to be some reason for this discrepancy as to size, and I'm figuring it was meant to be some kind of inside joke which until this very moment I had never given a moments thought. As incredible as it may sound, I've realized just how deep the social engineering project gets... I just saw a commercial for a grocery store points program which: gives you 200 points per dollar spent, and gives you 1 dollar off for every 1000 points collected... Now it's possible that I wasn't really listening, because I am prone to paying no mind to the magic box... 1 free dollar for every 5 I spend? (again, I might have the exacts wrong, but still I am to be rewarded for logging all of my purchases to my name, perhaps I shall try to video tape this commercial) …And all I have to do is allow you to profile my purchasing and eating habits and sell this data to the highest bidder? Well, it's starting to sound like somebody should probably be paying me as well as letting me walk out the store with whatever fits in the cart for free... Doesn't it? When you look at it from that perspective, this no longer sounds all that implausible, does it? And yet, with just the right focus, or lack thereof, you start to see just how interconnected and interdependent this whole system of control really is.

But surely this is just crazy talk rantings of a disgruntled fellow who fell off the world and was denied reentry into it? Right?

I've never stated that I have the requisite qualifications to have any idea what I am talking about, nor that I even know what those requisites might be, so, you are left to ask yourself if anything I have said was worth listening to in the first place... Ah the quandary of freedom, to accept the truth in it's naked ugliness, or, garnish it with the trimmings of your own perspective thus transforming it into whatever it isn't, yet is more palatable, even if it is no longer true in the fashion of it's original intent...

But that is a choice I leave to you.

Addendum: I was planning to, at some point, make mention of the hypocrites openly declaring the now dead Nelson Mandela a hero to humanity despite the role their country played in bringing the terrorist version of Mandela to justice all those years earlier... But it really did not seem to fit the tone of everything else I have said here. Sometimes that's just how these things go.

Olympic bullshitting competition and other égarements linguistiques

So the quebec government has succeeded in getting us divided on a non-issue while we stop talking about real issues, well, at least some of us as there is still the occasional editorial and open letter here and there. But these are still taking time and effort away from discussing the fact that Quebec is now shedding 5000 jobs a month, and that giant craters are opening up and swallowing backhoes in the middle of downtown Montreal. Of course, this all goes towards a goal of evacuating the province of all those who are affected by this 'dress code' because these are not people who make up the desired demographic of morons who would vote for an independent Quebec that uses Canadian dollars (oxymoron intended). I am aware that outside of Montreal and Quebec City there is a large population of backwoods hicks who have never even seen a muslim except for those being labelled as a terrorist on the evening 'nouvelles', and who can't speak a word of "da H'english" save for having a "craque dans le windshield" or "un flatte dans le ti'er", or who eat at their backyard BBQ "les 'ot dogs et les 'amburgers" (note to non-Quebec readers: Quebec Francophones speaking English cannot pronounce "H" when it's at the beginning of a word, but somehow add an "H" to the beginning of any word starting with a vowel, without some level of practice). I mean it isn't like they are planning to remove the Catholic found just about everywhere... Majority of Quebec townships and streets are "Saint(e)" something-or-other, but that's OK because this is part of Quebec's heritage (of double standards). I mean, really, this doesn't even ban opening prayers at municipal council meetings, separation of church and state my ass...

the doublespeak dreamworld

I am certain that I have mentioned, in past posts, that the world is a pretty backwards place. I know that this is done to upset the human equilibrium and keep us just off kilter enough to maintain some vague resemblance to a dreamworld in which those generating the dream feast on the confusion and imbalance created while working out the next phase. What other reasoning could there be for a country giving $1.2 million to another nation to promote religious freedom while a section within that generous nation is moving to outlaw religious freedom within it's public institutions, after having already made international headlines for trying to ban the hijab from soccer games (this was overturned only after FIFA stepped in, by the way). This off-kilter confusion is not limited to politicians, nor religion as the schools fuck with the heads of our youth and tell them you can't wear that in a classroom of 30 kids, but you have to wear it in front of a much larger audience for a sporting event at the same school.

be careful what you wish for...

I don't claim to know everything, and often don't even claim to know very much at all. I simply have a perception of things that allows me to understand where the lies and injustices are. I become incensed, and outraged by injustices, while the lies have a varying emotional and even physical effect on me depending on the level and degree to which they are orchestrated, and I am probably not alone in this category. I say that I am not alone, except that, when I look around, I think a great many people do not recognize these symptoms and have no idea where to lay blame, which leads to odd behaviours, or worse, or, well, I don't know what to make of this one at all, especially considering the 'getaway' car (tractor).

a bus trip through the 3rd world?

So I resorted to an old strategy, which predates the internet, I used to use for finding work. Go through an industrial park and wallpaper it with applications and resumés in hopes that someone would call back... I will assume that I picked the wrong industrial park since I could not find a single block that had no visible 'for rent' or 'for sale' sign throughout my journey, which I took the liberty of cataloguing as a photo journal... Rather than bore you to tears with a slideshow of poor photography taken mostly from the seat of a bus, I compiled it all into a single contact sheet which displays the map of the journey:

For the purpose of scale, an entire runway at the airport is clearly visible on the map
That airport is an international airport, and not some rural cessna airstrip.

Those are all the for rent or for sale signs I was able t get a picture of... Sometimes there were signs on opposite sides of the bus, and I deleted some which were completely obscured, and still ended up with about 32 signs... And not a single "we're hiring" sign in sight... I went back to one of the more promising streets to be turned away at every door. You would think that an area which is between an airport, and the train yards (not shown) would be much more sought out real estate for industry... I mean there is no lack of hotels along route 520 and not a whole lot of sight-seeing to be found in an industrial park, which a majority of the displayed map is, so what gives?

I'll go over here, while 'egoes over there

Maybe there is hope for some of humanity, just not all of it as the apparent conservative vs. liberal equation (morally, not politically) would appear to be at exactly the opposite of their expected stance on things. I do believe that you are allowed to be gay, if that is what you are, and do not consider such things to be a disease. I also believe that it's everybody's right to want and have a family... I also, however, believe that people have a right to not condone such things if that is truly how they feel, but think the referenced example in the linked video goes overboard on the commentary and preachiness... She is entitled to have an opinion, and should even have the right to voice it, but was there really a need to bring the whole restaurant into the debate? It hardly seems like the appropriate venue for such things.

a cartoonish super-villain doing the dishes in a rainbow-bright robe

I think the Vladimir Putin looked at the cartoonish super-villain portrait much of the western media has painted of him and pondered deeply about how he might be able to get that touched up by PRISMACOLOR into an even more cartoonish hue. So he banned gay propagandizing... I'm not really taking sides on this issue, and am by no means homophobic, but from a point of logic: there is not one single occurrence of a 'hetero-pride' parade that I can recall ever hearing about. Maybe it's that nobody feels that a school of sea bass in the open sea is as visually appealing as 10 variants of tropical fish trapped together in a salt-water tank, or maybe there simply has never been any agenda meant to promote procreation as a means of species propagation (unless I am simply in the wrong country). I suppose in the end I don't see why straight sex is still such a taboo subject while being gay is something to be openly proud of. It's a world of double-standards from that perspective... I fuck women, and as such there is zero celebration, but if I fucked men there's an an(nu)al parade... Not that I need a parade concerning whomever I choose to fuck because I consider such things to be nobody else's damned business in the first place so long as the other participant involved was both coherent and willing... But go on and paint bizarrely homosexual crimes as homophobic ones if you want to. I see someone ass-raping someone else with beer bottles and torturing their man meat and I doubt a truly homophobic person would approach either act with a 10-foot dildo.

Wow dirty, tell us how you really feel...

the Jay-Z wifebeater and other good or bad news

I would like to take a minute to thank society for this gem... To say that I am not a fan, would be the most ludicrous understatement I have ever made. There is one thing baffling me in all of this, where do all these people who can afford $120 plain white T-shirts live? Anyway, I have already dedicated more time to this than it was worth. Moving on...

Before we rejoice too hard over MySatan leaving Europe, let's recall that they left the wheat market years ago too, and that did not appear to work out as planned. In fact, it seems that so much 'good news' finds it's way into the 'bad news' side of the ledger with so little time delay that there is almost a refractory effect causing it to appear that I penned it in on the good side while it actually landed on the bad side... I'm not suggesting witchcraft, but something more simple, like when you plop the net into a fish tank and the handle appears to be bent from a variety of angles.

the cesspit of ironic disparity

Is it any wonder that I feel the system is so beyond repair, when, the 'arrested for fraud and conspiracy' ex-mayor of Montreal, steps down (either from a prison cell or while vacationing abroad because he's apparently no flight risk, except that vacationing abroad involves 'flight'), still manages to get a severance pay of over a quarter million dollars?!!! Worse still, HE WASN'T EVEN MAYOR FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!!!!! I think the next phase in this man's life is probably a fine (of not more than $100 000, leaving him $167k in severance to eat franks -n- beans on), and a short stint in prison (likely time served which was probably just shy of a couple of hours). All of this will most probably be followed up with a full partnership in some law firm (like Satan, Lucifer et associés) followed by an honorable mention on the Nobel peace prize nominees list for next year... What a fine specimen of humanity, perhaps he should be dissected (while hopped up on sniffing salts and other adrenals so he may enjoy the experience as long as inhumanely possible) to see what causes such nobility...

FUCK!

A name for namesake only

So the big brother watch has turned up in France now, as well. So let's see, there's now: U.S.A., Canada, U.K. Australia, and France who are about as bad as China in how they abuse the internet... Sure China actively 'censors' what's available, but do you not think that all this surveillance and logging of everything that is coming out of these other places has a similar effect? If people become paranoid enough over being monitored, that tends to lead to passive censorship which is actually worse in my opinion, because the first means nobody can read it, the second means nobody is saying it (really, no 'dislike' buttons because nobody wants to feel the sting of criticism? What are we, kindergarten children?) to begin with. France, of course, chose to put their own ironic flair on things by griping about the U.S. before any of their own problems became known.

transplanted talking heads

Every once in awhile I come across something that really makes my mind wander... Not to other bodies, mind you, but to the to the question as to whether this is the ticket to immortality for some future dystopia in which the Emperor of Earth lives for over a thousand years by grafting his head onto a, 18 year old clone of himself every couple of decades... I'm neither a doctor, nor scientist so I am not really certain about the semantics involved... I'll try to hope that the brain eventually gets old and dies rather than to continue to think about the horrors of being ruled by someone who's had alzheimer's for the last 600 years...

Let's move on to something a little more here and now, shall we?

If this doesn't make you think, it's possible your brain is malfunctioning.

The Ultimate Sin

It appears to be a slow news day here in the land of looney twoneys and maple syrup. Of course, it's a holiday weekend, and a Sunday morning, so maybe I simply need to wait for "stupid" to wake up and say things as will inevitably happen... I'm done parroting on about Edward Snowden and Michael Hastings, the NSA, and the police state for the moment and have zero unread items in my news feeds right now, which suggests I might actually have nothing to talk about. Except that it's been brought to my attention that I haven't mentioned certain things in a very long while. I might have eluded to them, or put up links to them, and I've even done some funky math to illustrate them, but not openly said them...

Yes, it's time to talk about the ultimate sin: usurious fractional reserve banking

the double-blind-folded taste-test of powdered shit

I think this article says a lot about the state of the free press in this 'age of information'. Truth be told, there's little truth being told at any of the upper echelons of any hierarchy, and I may not be here tomorrow to speak about it. I'll figure that out if it happens and have downloaded the requisite files in case it does happen (funny how Google reader, and Google blogger are going to vanquish 2 large information services in 2 days... And, no, not 'ha ha' funny). But while I figure that out (I could be blowing this blogger thing out of proportion, because it's a service I use) people like this will have some level of carte-blanche to continue whatever it is they get up to when they think nobody is watching, which, I might add, is never again.

monkey-wrenches in the machine don't work

The following is an email I received on October 19th 2012 regarding signing a petition:

OpenMedia
Good news! Because of you, Big Telecom was stopped in its tracks yesterday.
The CRTC (Canada’s media/telecom authority) just blocked Bell’s takeover of Astral Media. If it hadn’t been for you speaking out, Bell and other big telecom giants would have had more power to price-gouge Canadians and restrict access to the open Internet.
We’re now taking steps to fix Canada’s broken telecom market and it’s thanks to all of you who have spoken out, donated, or joined our allies program. Give yourselves a pat on the back.
Simply put: THANK YOU
Let’s keep going,
Steve, Shea, Lindsey, and Reilly—your OpenMedia team
P.S. Seriously, our community of supporters constantly inspires us. Thanks.

I remember it well, because I posted 'sometimes the system works' to Facebook.

It's too bad it doesn't actually work, otherwise, what the hell is this? "CRTC approves Bell-Astral merger". Sure it says 'merger', but this one doesn't: "CRTC approves Bell's $3.4B acquisition of Astral Media" (CTV is owned by Bell). So, all I got out of this signing a petition was to be a brief monkey-wrench in the systems gears, followed by a bunch of unsolicited email from open media. Some prize...

a turnstile through the plot-hole of reality

It doesn't require very much imagination to realize how things got to where they are. Given enough money, plans can be executed, locked doors become turnstiles, and goals can be accomplished no matter the cost. It doesn't even need to be your money, because let's face it, there's nothing more fun than using other people's money while hording your own. Money buys the actors required to set the stage for agendas, and money pays the airtime to reinforce the agendas just in case you forgot what the agenda was. Yes, money buys your opinion, but, only if you don't question it...

World War ∞

Was there ever any doubt that a new cold war was approaching? I know that maybe it was under the radar of all that hot war that's been going on since the CIA and Mossad did 9/11, because that played out it's intended purpose so perfectly which was to usher in a new era where freedom comes at the cost of having your genitals groped, or having to whip out ID for simply sitting on a park bench.

Following No Leader Across The Bridge To Nowhere

[writing from the seat of moving busses and metros]

So I'm off to a job interview, let's see if I can hold my cynicism for long enough to earn a paycheck, shall we? It isn't that I want to be back on the treadmill of endless debt slavery, nor that I hold any belief in the monetary system, but everyone else does and I've not had much effect on other's beliefs yet…

I do have an uncanny way of predicting things... A couple of days ago I mentioned that Montreal isn't certain it even has a mayor, and now we don't, again. Not that saying 'I told you so' changes anyone's beliefs, but I can at least take it as a nod of encouragement by whatever invisible force powers the universe. Maybe we will get to where we should be some day. Until then I'll simply do what I can to try and keep us from getting to where we shouldn't be, and be thankful I don't live in 'Detroit rock bottom city'.

Domino

It appears that the next domino in the chain of consequence has begun falling. It could simply be shrugged off as the inevitable and obvious next phase. It couldn't have not happened because it had already been happening since before it actually happened. Many foresaw it as did I, but this would have been a perfect time to have been proven wrong... Wrong had little consequence: an apology, mild embarrassment. Some people simply never can admit to being wrong, but, of course, their consequence would have been greater than mine own. My losing face holds little risk for I am faceless, my losing faith holds little value for I am faithless.

When the cherry coke sponsored version of freedom looks like this nobody is free, or ever was.

So what else is new?

Something isn't right... Everybody, and I mean everybody, and let me reiterate that I mean everybody absolutely everywhere seems to be having the same conversation, or variations of the same theme. I won't deny that it's big news that the CIA may have almost told some truth, nor that it's big news that the President of the U.S. does not officially deny everything...  Speculation about shill, traitor, or hero, speculation about real or faked documents, speculation about if this 'draconian system' has caught a terrorist yet, speculation as to how 'draconian' it actually is, speculation as to whether it's technologically feasible or not, and a whole bunch of congressmen who seem to be unaware of the programs they may or may not have approved of or have some odd or ambiguous things to say about it... Even BILDERBERG seems to be discussing it in some way. All angles are being examined on all sides... No problem, maybe this is a healthy debate which is the way an open society should work...

Except...
